This gift of healing can manifest in a variety of ways from healing individuals to healing plants and animals. It can appear as a special talent and adeptship in growing gardens, etc. or even raising children or caring for the elderly. Although, of course, in time while we will grow older and older, our bodies will not age and this too will be due in part to the powers of the healers among us.
Many elves at this juncture are involved in and dedicated to the vital work of healing the planet, replanting the forests, purifying the rivers, lakes and oceans and cleansing the atmosphere.
Elfin healers sometimes specialize... some dealing with the physical body, others with the emotional and mental bodies, yet, we are aware that these are all part of a whole being and quite often what is manifesting on the physical plane is merely a result of events and traumas that have taken place on the subtler planes. Thus you will frequently find elves involved in psychology, counseling and related fields. Healing on the netherrealms, however, is the particular speciality of the Shaman and can be found under that heading.
The methods of elfin healers are multifaceted, some use the power of energy channeling through their hands, some use herbs, some crystals and other minerals, many use the healing magic of a kind and caring concern and a gentle touch. Some very advanced elfin heal by their mere presence. Among the many skills the elfin healers tend to develop... massage stands out as one of the most healing and popular. Also the arts of acupressure, acupuncture and chiropracty are often found among the repertoire of their healing techniques.
We elfin have a saying, "Healing is contagious, Pass it around." it is not only disease that can be transmitted from one person to the next... healing also functions in the same way. Except while disease operates principly, but not entirely, on the physical plane (since it is our mind and attitudes that are the true source of disease and the key to healing), healing is radiated more from the subtle etheric plane which is the electromagnetic and heat radiating fields of the physical dimension and is conducted person to person primarily from that realm (and originates not just from thinking proper thoughts but feeling well). Thus healing has a natural affinity to Elfin which is an etheric realm, whereas disease arises from the darkness of matter and ultimately reflects our temporary lack of control there (control of our bodies and the subtle planes of our mind). As we continue to radiate the physical plane with light our ability to resist dis-ease will increase and the marriage of the physical plane with the Soul Realm of Faerie will create Paradise on Earth and Among the Stars.

Be healing. That's the bottom line. Strive in everything you do to heal yours'elf and be a healing influence in other's lives. As you do this, your healing powers will develop until your presence will soothe and ease those who spend any time with you. There is really nothing more to it than that. Be healing and in time all things will come to you to be healed and all things healed and healing will be one with you. You are on the path to Life Everlasting, the Path of the Immortals, the way that opens unto Elfin.
