The Path of the Priestess

is the way of those who care for the sacred shines and magic places in nature. The Elfin Priestess/Priest or the Elfin Master of the Temple or as we more often call them the Guardians of the Sacred Bowers have two principle roles among the Elfin. The first is the caretaking and protection of those sacred spots in nature where the connection with the Divine is so powerful that Elfin seeps into the world from those vortexes and those from the world going to such a spot are reminded for a time of Elfin and allowed to cross over.

But the Elfin Guardians also act as Mothers and Fathers, nurturing and caring for those devotees who have felt the call to become the future protectors of the sacred spaces of the Earth. Guiding those folks into a fuller union with the spirits of a particular spot or region. By extension, every person who functions in the role of a Mother or Father is accounted a Priest/Priestess among the elfin, responsible not only for the physical being but also the emotional, mental and spiritual development of the individual.
The Elfin Guardian leads the elfin into the secret places wherein great magic is stored and where coming into contact with that magic the elfin can gain the power and insight to transform their lives. For when we are in those sacred places we are indeed changed by being there and thus given a vision of what we are in potential and can be through will, intent and consistent effort.

Because the Elfin Priest-ess spend so much time in connection with their particular sacred spot, they radiate that energy, are a mobile personification of the spirit of the bower, grotto or stream, etc. that they serve and protect. A psychic marriage takes place between them and the Divine Spirit, so they begin to share in the Divine aura and thus while the Elfin Guardian protects the "environment" they are in turn protected and healed by the atmosphere of the place they protect. They become in fact the voice and body of the sacred grove or sanctuary and in that fashion are the manifest spirit of the Eald in human form. They are the Living Goddess or God. By virtue of this they can walk forth and shed the radiance of the sacred in their wake like stardust on the raiment of magic brushing off onto the world as they pass through it.

The Challenge: the question is?

Do you have a special space? A sacred spot in which you feel particularly elfin and magical? Do you care for the spot? Nurture it and protect it? do you share it with special others who can be trusted to protect it as well?
How do we increase these places? How do we create them in our homes and surroundings? As we do so Elfin will grow, spread and connect. What is your vision of the future? Sterile cities of concrete and plastic and aluminum? Here and in space? Or cities covered in trees, flowers and vines, life abundant everywhere?

Is your goal to conquer nature or unite with it? Of perhaps as some... you strive for a total divorce. We elfin pledged our troth to magical nature aeons past. It heals us, supports us, shelters us, enlightens us. Are you one of us?

The Magical Act: what to do.

Protect the sacred and wild spaces of the Earth. Create new ones. Plant trees, vines, flowers. Organize others to do the same.
