Caressed by An Elfin Breeze: The Poems of Zardoa Silverstar

These are some of the poems of Zardoa Silverstar (approximately 90 poems). We say some of his poems because the vast majority of his rhymes are found in other books, particularly An Elfin Book of Dreams: A Magical Oracle of Faerie ( to be released soon) which contains nearly 360 spells and enchantments, most of them rhymed. The poems in this volume of poems, however, are not found anywhere else.

Some of these poems are from songs that he wrote, many of them from over 30 years ago. Some of them are Haikus. Two are long myths, and one is really a rhymed children’s story (although this is not a book for children as some of the poems are erotic in nature and meant for mature readers). They are all, to us at least, evocative in their way of Elven Magic.
We trust you will enjoy them.

Kyela,
The Silver Elves

In Elfin Stay . . . . . .

In a darkened twilight world
The voice of spirit ancient hears
A laugh, a whisper, and a jest
That calls you to the final test.
Come within it seems to say
Do not fear we're here to play
And if you wish
We'll show the way
And you at last
Can come and stay.

The following is a review on Amazon.com from our Elven Sister Syndareyn on Caressed by an Elfin Breeze: The Poems of Zardoa Silverstar (Paperback):
Amazing Elven Poetry, February 24, 2012

"I just bought this book, and it is fantastic. As a poetry lover I know that, especially since I'm very picky. These poems are wonderful, many really well known ones doesn't even come close to them, that's my honest opinion.

Even though this is not a spell-book (though there are some spells) it holds great magic within its pages. It brought back all my energy when I was so tired I could barely stand, and that was an amazing experience. I read the whole thing in less than two days and keep wanting more.

Also, many of the poems were really inspiring, giving the courage to be the person that one truly is. I felt great recognition in many, he has managed to describe things very well, using beautiful symbols and images. Many words of wisdom were also to be found, as usual when it comes to The Silver Elves. Here Zardoa has shown he is a true master of words. Elven poetry at its best!"

And thank you Teuta Rizaj for your review on Goodreads:

"A spellbinding collection of poems clothed in much allegory…each melodious line, pregnant with wisdom and benevolence, uplifts in “faerie wings” and moves as it caresses each fiber of being…transporting, transforming, creating a world we all yearn to live in. A must read for all - old and young at heart – in all schools of life."

CARESSED BY AN ELFIN BREEZE . . . . . .

I wandered though the wilderness
I searched the Ivory Towers
I crossed a great wide ocean
And lay among the flowers.

And all the while I heard the song
That echoes in my soul
Calling me back again
To the land where one’s made whole.

And though I sometimes lost that voice
As I tread through alleys dark
It left me with a hunger
Like a starving shark.

On and on I sought it
Like a fleeting memory
Of a time when life seemed kind
And charmed by Destiny.

And then at last I found it
And it brought me to my knees
And tears welled up into my eyes
As I was caressed by an Elfin breeze.
